Following Tutorials

As I got better at programming, drawing and animating, I felt like I didn’t have the need of doing tutorials. They felt like stuff that newbies will have to do and I think that is the reason I have so many unfinished personal projects.

Following tutorials

I found that I have learnt a lot from doing tutorials even in subjects that I already felt comfortable with. Once I followed a tutorial on Laravel just to look at how a few things are coded and when I looked at the code, it kind of felt foreign to me.

The person who created the tutorial had different coding style and used functions and classes that later saved them a lot of time. This was really great as I have now started implementing some of these ideas inside my projects and my projects seem to run smoother.

What I took from this was:

even though you might think you have it all figured out, there is always more to learn.
